Description

Over this past election year, Euro-American relations have been subject to critical examination from policy-makers. Despite tensions in the Euro area, Transatlantic cooperation has been strengthened on many fronts with regular meetings held between European and American leaders to maximize a convergence of political, economic and strategic issues. How will the challenges facing Europe and the United States be addressed after the elections? What policies will be subject to convergence or disagreement?

The French Embassy in partnership with IFRI gives you the opportunity to discuss this new phase in Transatlantic partnership with an off the record panel discussion featuring:

Dr. Charles Kupchan, professor of International Affairs in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and Whitney H. Shepardson Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Heather Conley, Senior Fellow and Director of the Europe Program at CSIS

Anne-Lorraine Bujon, Associate Fellow at IFRI

William Danvers, Majority Staff Director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Brian Diffell, Legislative Director for Senator Roy Blunt (R-Missouri)

Moderated by:

Laure Mandeville, Chief U.S Correspondent for Le Figaro
